There has been considerable interest in top paying adsense keywords. While the detailed information on keywords is great, most webmasters would like to know the top paying niches to start brainstorming for a new idea.

Here is a list of free top paying keywords for google adsense. Rates given here is the average for top three position, updated 19th November, 2006. The high paying keywords provided here is just for keyword research and analysis purpose. We are not affiliated with google or google adsense in anyway.

Please note that the rates given are what publishers pay google for top spots on google search results page. Rates for partner sites will be much lesser. Also google takes a good cut before passing it to the publisher. However the rates are true indicators for the earning potential for any niche.

Best Adsense Revenue Sharing Sites

Adsense revenue sharing sites are getting popular nowadays. Many people wonder if it is against adsense TOS. The short answer is NO. Many of the revenue sharing sites contacted google, and the response they got was positive.

1.Simpy

Simpy is a social bookmarking service. Members can save, tag and search their bookmarks
and notes or even see other members bookmarks.

Simpy members can add google adsense on their pages and take 100% of what it earns!

2. Digitalpoint

Digital point is one of the biggest webmaster resource site. They have implemented adsense revenue sharing for the forum. Users get credits for posting on forums, starting a new thread etc. Based on the number of views their post gets, their ads are exposed to other members. Members never get to see their own ads on digital point.

3. Senserly

Senserely.com is a community website, specially for adsense publishers. Adsense ads are displayed next to the members content. With good blending of ads, publishers can expect a good CTR.

4. Joomlaya
Joomlaya is a popular joomla!/mambo download portal. They have joomala downloads, articles and forums.

For articles and forum postings, joomlaya displays the adsense ID of the member, 75% of the times.

5. workfromhomespot

Work from home forum is a discussion board for anythign related to working from home. Revenue sharing starts after 50 posts has been made by a member. One out of three ads shown on threads started by a member will carry members adsense ID.

Adsense Tips and Tricks

Well, there are so many adsense tips floating around. Still thought of compiling a list, from my own experience and from whatever I leaned from a lot of resources.

1. Adsense Heatmap
It may be told a number of times, but let me repeat - Adsense heatmap works!! I have increased CTR for a forum by almost 4 times by having ads just after the first post!

2. Use channels

Channels are great tools to track your performance. Use channels for each ad position and name them logically -"homepage-header-banner". Keep an eye on the performance over a period of time, say one week. Don't be afraid to experiment. Change the colors, blending, size and see which one perform best.

3. Section targeting

Are you not getting relevant ads on your site? Dont worry, you can use section targetting.
Keep your most important text inside section targeting tags:

4. Less is More

Are you getting $0.03 clicks? Probably you are using too many ads on a single page. Even though google allow you to plance up to 3 ads on a page, better keep it to one or maximum two. That is the best way to make sure that your clicks get paid more. Make sure that the location where you get maximum clicks will be the first one to display ads. To make it clear, there should not be any ads above your best location, when you see the HTML source code.

5. Blend Your Ads

Blending the ads to your site converts the best. You may opt for the same background color as the site, same text color etc.

Another tip: Dark background colors and light fonts work best. For eg: Balck background and white text, for both your site content as well as ads. You may have a slightly different font color for ads(say yellow) to get noticed. It may not be easy on your visitors, but it converts well. if you are not expecting too many repeat visitors, this may be a good idea.
